NATIONAL SINGLES Congratulations to Alan Hanafin and Sue Bugden on being the 2008 National Singles Champions. Alan was on fire in the knockout competition and bowled over 200 every game on his way to beating John Greathead for the title. Sue played Carol Barter in the final and it could not have been closer with Sue needing 9 to win on her last ball bowled a strike and a 200 game to win by 2 pins. STRATHCLYDE TOURNAMENT Congratulations to Steve and the Strathclyde team for making this a very enjoyable tournament, one which I think is here to stay. The inaugural all event winners were Al Hopkinson and Carol Barter and in the team scratch West Yorkshire and Hertfordshire took the handicap.
