

| The annual North of the Border jaunt saw a poor turnout, but no doubt all those who competed enjoyed themselves with Scottish hospitality. Despite only 26 male competitors there was still a high standard with both John Greathead and Alan Hanafin finishing on a 200+ average. There was a surprise in the scratch singles with Don Carter winning with 598 from Jon Greengrass on 596. Brian Higgins took the handicap with 688 from Henry Sycamore 649 (on countback tied with Jake Fulton). Sue Bugden took the ladies handicap singles from Chloe Bruton 621 -611. It was a Met 1-2 in the scratch doubles with Chloe and Geoff Mitchell beating team mates Jon Greengrass and Alan Hanafin 1205 -1189. It was another mixed,mixed doubles winning the handicap title with Al Hopkinson and Carol Barter combined team winning by over 100 from Strathclyde Steve Howat and Arthur McKell 1328 - 1222. The Met team then closed the gap on their West Yorkshire rivals for the OOM title by taking the scratch title with 2186, however West Yorkshire took the handicap title with 2448. In the all events John pipped Fin by 2 pins to win 1846 -1844. In the ladies all events, Chloe beat Carol Barter 1664 -1620. |
