| This was the swansong event for Carol and Peter Gerrard who are hanging up their pins, as far as running the tournament goes and another successful tournament was the result. The scratch singles title went to Graham Leicester - Lincolnshire from Mark Scott - Norfolk 635 - 628. The handicap title went to Tim Baxter - West Yorkshire from Arthur McKell - Stratchclyde on countback as both rolled 703. The ladies handicap singles went to Donna Dervanna from BTP bowling in only her second event with Michelle Gavaghan in second 735 -722. The scratch doubles event was won by Mark Scott/Alex Nelson - Norfolk from Roger Smith / Lee Franklin - Sussex 1169 - 1151. The handicap event was won by Peter Milne / Brian Higgins - Thames Valley from Jim Kenny / Henry Sycamore - Metropolitan 1357 -1337 The scratch team event was won by West Yorkshire from the Met 2220 -2113. The handicap saw the reverse with the Met winning from West Yorkshire 2520 - 2506. The male all events was a close run affair with the top 3 all within 10 pins of each other, however Mark Scott (1761) came out on top from Barry Eason(1760) and Tom Walsh (1751). The ladies all events was even closer with 8 pins separating the top 3, Carol Barter (1529) led the way from Carol Gerrard (1521)and Donna Devanna(1521), Carol finishing runner up on countback |
